Payton Grace Blackburn...a.k.a. Princess Payton

Sooooo...our lives have changed drastically since my last post. Payton Grace Blackburn made her arrival August 13th, 2010 at 3:20 pm. She weighed 6lbs and 7 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. Everything went smoothly and she came into this world bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Payton is now 7 weeks old and growing everyday. She has developed quite the personality and makes me smile on a daily basis. I feel so blessed and can't imagine loving anything more than I love my sweet pea.
We have gotten to visit Nick (Daddy) quite a few times. Once in Texas and twice now in Minnesota. Twin's made the play-offs and hopefully a world series is in the near future. :) Now for some pictures of Miss Priss....

My Other Half

I'm very new to this whole blogging thing, but I feel like I should switch it up a bit...so here it goes. (and don't worry Payton...90% of this blog will be about you. :)

I just recently finished "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks (great read), and realized I was a lot like one of the main characters. I often think about how much I love my husband and how amazingly lucky I am that he chose me...but hardly ever tell him. Since most of you know me pretty well and know I studied math in college...not English, I'm going to go ahead a make a list of why I have a wonderful hubby. So here it is....reasons why I think my husband is the best of the best.

* He's a sexy man of God
* He makes me want to be a better person everyday
* He puts up with me (if you know me then you understand)
* He understands that husbands are supposed to get their wives presents "just because" :)
* He would get up early to go take maternity pictures in the rain...and has.
* He realizes that I am right 99% of the time
* He LOVES me and Payton unconditionally

I could sit here all day and list reasons why Nick is an amazing husband and father to be, but i'm pregnant and lazy...and I don't have that much time. I just praise the Lord for sending him to me. So heres to you Robert Nicholas....I love you more than words can describe.

Alot has happened since my last post. I finally got to see Nick last weekend (it had been a month :( ). I also got to see Target field for the first time...Amazing!!!
My softball girls got beat out in districts but had an amazing season. Finished the season 15-9 and got Grady county runner-ups. We were also in line for a trophy in the Wayne tournament...but it got rained out. Very proud of this team.
Now onto the most important topic...little miss Payton. I went in for my 20 week check up on April 12th and got more beautiful pics of her. During the ultrasound the tech saw a spot on her heart and so I will be seeing a specialist on the 29th of April. The Dr. and tech both think it's nothing since she is growing so well and there is nothing else wrong. However, my heart won't be at ease until I know for sure. So please send up a prayer for us.
On a lighter note Payton is quite the active baby. Nick got to feel her kick for the first time today. So Blessed :)

Sooo.....I thought I would jump on the blog wagon since everyone else is doing it. :) As most of you know I am 21 wks pregnant with mine and Nick's 1st little one. We found out last month that we are going to be blessed with a little girl. Her name is going to be Payton Grace and she is due August 26th (mark your calendar). I will be having another ultrasound tomorrow (april 12th) and will hopefully have some more pics of our little bundle of joy. :)
